King Abdul-Aziz University in Jeddah in cooperation with Zain KSA crowned winners in the first preparatory stage of "New Ideas for Beautiful World" competition. The university declared during the celebration held on this occasion yesterday's morning, Saturday 24th of Rabi Awal at the university small ceremony hall in Jeddah, names of 20 winners (males and females) who participated in the competition. It was attended by a number of deans, staff members, students and university affiliates, in addition to a number of Zain KSA managers and affiliates as well.
Accordingly, winner students will move to the second stage of "New Ideas for Beautiful World" competition that will last for three weeks starting from today. Zain KSA will train the qualified students during this period on business administration and will support them in order to thrive their ideas practically throughout the technological and technical usages in the world of communication, besides training them on preparing plans for final works of ideas after its development.
King Abdul-Aziz university was first declared last year, represented in Business and Knowledge Alliance, the launching of "New Ideas for Beautiful World" competition under the auspices of Zain KSA for all university students aiming at developing their creation and innovation.
The competition has gained a wide participation and large interaction from students of King Abdul-Aziz University where hundreds were competed to win in the first preparatory stage of the competition by presenting new ideas and reviewing talents that can developed with the aim of extracting technological solutions and applications which present new additions to communication services in the region upon the personal and institutional level.
Dr. Zuhair Ben Abdullah Tayeb, the executive manager of Business and Knowledge Alliance at King Abdul-Aziz University expressed, in a welcome message at the beginning of the ceremony, his great gratitude to Zain KSA appreciating the effective social role it plays in supporting and promoting raised ideas and works in a way ensuring economic and developmental process support for the kingdom generally.
Dr. Tayeb said that the role of Business Incubators at the university springs from securing the suitable environment and supportive services in order to participate in thriving the new creative projects for university students and graduates. He also pointed that the vision of the incubator aims at containing students' creative ideas at King Abdul-Aziz University throughout giving the opportunity to its graduates to turn their creative ideas to real investment projects.
Dr. Tayeb asserted that business incubators in King Abdul Aziz University aim, prima facie, at raising the level of awareness of free business concept and starting small projects, in addition to securing job opportunities through helping in establishing projects.
Zain KSA seeks within its own philosophy to apply the full commitment with the social responsibility in order to promote and support the development of emerging businesses through benefiting from its deep-rooted experience and utilizing its capabilities in away serving the Saudi society and achieving the required sustainability developmentally and economically. Zain KSA sponsorship of this competition came within a series of agreements concluded by the company before launching its commercial services with the Kingdom universities and its scientific research centers in order to present support to students and researchers for more development in communication industry by which embodying one of the institutional role types for the private sector within the Saudi Society.
