Qtel awarded the star prize in its Roam and Win promotion

Qtel awarded the star prize in its “Roam and Win” promotion at a glittering ceremony at Villagio Mall in Doha last night, as a lucky mobile user was presented with the keys to a BMW650i Convertible. 

The “Roam and Win” promotion – which enabled customers to enter a prize draw for every QR100 spent on using Qtel’s call roaming facility abroad – was one of the most innovative aspects of Qtel’s summer-long campaign of promotions.

Nasser Abdulla Al-Kaabi said: “I’m very happy to win this car from Qtel. I used my phone a lot over the summer to stay in touch with family and business colleagues, and it’s fantastic to receive such a luxurious prize as a result.” 

Mr. Al-Kaabi announced that he would immediately sign the car over to one of his sons, as a gift on the occasion of his wedding.

Keys to the BMW650i Convertible – which combines state-of-the-art electronics with award-winning mechanicals – were presented by Adel Al Mutawa, Executive Director of Group Communications, Qtel.

“This promotion was part of a series of activities designed to provide a range of new services and opportunities for Qtel customers. We’ve been very pleased with the feedback, which has enabled us to better understand the needs of our customers and provide rewards like the presentation of this luxury car,” he said.

Qtel’s roaming service offers full international and roaming services covers more than 267 networks in over 121 countries, enabling customers to send and receive calls, SMS and MMS messages and access data services while abroad.
