Etisalat has been always keen to coordinate and blend with social issues and express its hopes and ambitions for being part and parcel of the social fabric through an all-inclusive strategy for corporate social Responsibility recently approved by the board of directors.
Gamal El-Sadat, Etisalat Misr Chairman, emphasized the fact that the social responsibility of Etisalat is a fundamental commitment. That is why Etisalat laid down a plan for social development in the framework of its social mandates.
El Sadat added that Etisalat has social responsibilities and mandates that represent a crucial goal and perpetual commitment that could not be overlooked nor belittled. This has been Etisalat UAE’s stance and goals that are carried out in all countries and regions where Etisalat services are provided. El-Sadat mentioned that Sheikh Muhammad Ibn-Rashed Al-Maktoom has bestowed honors upon Etisalat for its social contributions, a field in which Etisalat has breakthroughs and pioneering successes.
He added that Etisalat has been keen to take part in the significant projects as part and parcel of the social fabric. Among the projects was "Reading For All" the cultural project sponsored by Egypt’s First Lady Mrs. Suzan Mubarak that aims to propagate culture and education among all citizens.
Gamal El-Sadat said that the plan for corporate social responsibility approved by the Board comprises of developmental projects for the greater benefit of the Egyptian society.
