Zain Jordan sponsors all costs and expenses for Bait Zain

Zain, part of the Zain Group, the leading mobile operator in the Middle East and Africa, sponsors all costs and expenses for "Bait Zain" which the company established in 1999 at the SOS Children's Village Association of Jordan in the governorate of Irbid.

The company's initiative which will continue over the course of a full year, covers all school fees and expenses, health insurance expenses for all 
children cared for at "Bait Zain" who total seven children and their caregiver. The company will also cover all the house's needs and requirements as well as the administrative costs incurred by "Bait Zain".

The initiative was announced during a visit conducted by Zain CEO Dr. Abdel Malek Al Jaber and a delegation from the company to SOS villages in Irbid; during which he met with the association's National Director Lina Mola and with the children residing at Zain house.

Al Jaber said: "These children are a part of our lives and we feel that we have a commitment towards them to achieve a better tomorrow for them", confirming that caring for these segments of society is part of the noble message the company undertakes in order to establish worthy values in society. "Serving society with all its segments is one of the fundamental pillars of the company's work and its developmental message" Al Jaber said.

Al Jaber illustrated that "the success the company has achieved made us more aware of the role that we can rise with to contribute in effecting comprehensive development in Jordan which is the same conviction that drives us to contribute in supporting the activities of non-governmental institutions in their pursuits"; asserting that "the company takes pride in its continued participation in sustainable social development projects as well as other educational and health projects".

Furthermore, the Zain mobile clinic, which accompanied the visit, provided comprehensive medical services to all the association's children, totaling 345. The services were provided through complete medical equipment and a specialized medical team who conducted comprehensive medical tests alongside dental tests. In addition, the necessary medications and treatments were dispensed for free to the cases that required it.

In the same context, Zain supports the campaign to collect contributions organized by the International Children's Village Association present in 132 states on the occasion of 60 years since its establishment, whereby the company's contribution was represented by designating the number 97990 to receive donations from Zain customers via short messages. The value of each message is 1 JD and all proceeds go for the campaign that was launched on Oct. 26th and will continue until the end of the year. The campaign aims to create awareness of each child's right to a safe and happy childhood and that is the responsibility of everyone.
