Orange Jordan has announced the appointment of Mrs. Nayla Khawam as Deputy CEO of Orange Jordan, And announced also the assignment of Mr. Francois de Loynes to another mission within France Telecom Group.
Mickael Ghossein, CEO of Orange Jordan welcomed Ms. Nayla Khawam by saying: “We are delighted to have Mrs. Khawam on board as we know she will add to the potential of our team members with her broad experience in the field. I am confident that with Mrs. Khawam’s joining Orange Jordan, we will continue to lead the way locally and regionally by providing our customers with high standards and world-class services.”
A statistician-economist born in Lebanon and residing in France most of her life, Khawam expressed her delight at moving back to the region and especially to work with Orange Jordan, “I am excited about the challenge of working with Orange Jordan and specifically in the Middle East, a place close to my home country and so dear to my heart. I know that Orange Jordan brings together a great team of esteemed employees, and I am proud to be a member of this team.”
Khawam brings extensive and distinguished experience in the field of communications to the key position she is assuming at Orange Jordan. Her far reaching career in the telecoms world and specifically at France Telecom – Orange - includes critical roles most recent being Area Director for Île de France (Paris Region) in charge of commercial and technical departments for mass market and business clients; before that she was the head of customer services for landline, mobile and internet for the entire Group France Telecom – Orange - in France, as well as various positions in distribution and human resources.
Ms. Khawam was also a member of the Orange France executive board with the responsibility of customer services for Orange mobile. She also worked as a forecast manager for France Telecom, playing an integral role in the negotiations with the French Government during the preparations for the liberalization of the telecoms sector.
Ms. Khawam participated in the “Women’s Forum For The Economy & Society” in 2008, representing Orange as a partner and delivering significant impetus in bring more women into the science and technology sectors through education programmes, work, life balance and positive recruitment opportunities.
Mrs.Khawam is a graduate in Statistics and Economics from National Institute of Statistics and Economic Administration and in Mathematics in Université de Paris VI. She is married and has 2 children.
