Wataniya Telecom sponsors teams in the Olympic Games 2008

Wataniya Telecom, Kuwait Red Carpet Co. proudly announces its sponsorship of the national athlete's delegation participating in the Olympic Games which takes place in Beijing, China from August 8-24, 2008.

Commenting on the occasion, Scott Gegenheimer, GM & CEO of Wataniya Telecom confirmed Wataniya's pride out of sponsoring national athletes delegation to the Olympic Games and defined the opportunity as remarkable by all means; he said: "Wataniya has exceeded the concept from only being telecom provider or financial supporter; it has been working hard to fulfill its social commitment through an extensive and comprehensive sponsorship's program".
He added: "We all know that the Olympic Games remain the biggest sporting festival, therefore we are extremely happy to take the lead and encourage national talents to position Kuwait as the land of authentic athletes and achieve honorable successes".

Gegenheimer introduced Wataniya's initiative as one pillar among many others planed to be delivered through its CSR program which primarily aims to support the society and lead it toward a brilliant future...

Obeid Zayed Al Anzi, General Secretary of Kuwaiti Olympic Committee said: "I would like to take this opportunity to thank Wataniya for its generous sponsorship. We appreciate all their efforts and commitments as a national private company that has spared no efforts in providing required quality support". Al Anzi sees that Wataniya's steady encouragement to national athletes has played an important role in encouraging youth to practice sports and achieve successes.
