Etisalat participated in the 6th Int'l Financial and Investment Institutions Forum. The Forum was held to discuss the role of financial institutions in supporting the economic development and the use of latest IT systems in enhancing banking services and gathered leading investment companies, bankers, economists and industrialists from Syria and the GCC.
Speaking at the forum, Engineer Ahmed Bin Ali, Vice President of Corporate Communications -Etisalat underlined the importance of partnership between the banking and telecommunications sectors.
“Etisalat has recently entered India growing its international footprint to 17 countries with a combined total population of 1.6bn people.It also announced its international subscriber base has exceeded 74 million. The Corporation is currently studying a number of investment opportunities in the Middle East, Africa and Asia”.said Engineer Ahmed Bin Ali, Vice President of Corporate Communications, Etisalat.
Engineer Ahmed bin Ali presented a paper that highlighted Etisalat’s latest solutions in
e-commerce, including money transfer, payment of parking fees and the purchase of products using mobile phones either via the mobile Internet or Bluetooth technologies such as Near Field Communications (NFC).
