The “BillXpress” solution, Qtel’s new service that enables Qatari companies to improve efficiencies and manage their communications costs more effectively, has gained widespread popularity in a very short time in Qatar.
BillXpress allows a corporate client to see all their communications costs online in a real-time, in an easy-to-access format that helps companies itemize communication across a number of different different departments. The solution means that businesses can clearly see those areas that are driving communication costs, and take the necessary decisions to manage these costs at the earliest opportunity.
Qtel hosted the second of a series of special “BillXpress” workshops at the Four Seasons Hotel, Doha, attracting over 100 major Qatari companies.
In total, over 40 companies signed up on the day for the new “BillXpress” service, demonstrating the attractiveness of the new solution and its capacity to deliver better cost control.
Kamran Dhami, Sector Manager, Small Medium Enterprises (SME), Qtel, said: “Our corporate and SME clients are very important to us and we listen intently to their suggestions and feedback. We frequently discuss and analyze their changing needs with them and ‘BillXpress’ was developed out of this dialogue with both our corporate and SME customers.”
“It is designed to provide significant value to our clients in the area of clearer management and enhanced transparency of communication costs. We are confident that they will appreciate the immediate savings of time and money, as well as the longer-term process enhancements for their own organizations,” he added.
BillXpress delivers a number of key features including easy registration and password encryption, secure online logins, and the ability to retrieve historic bills.
In addition, the BillXpress solution has been configured to generate Pre-Defined Dynamic Reports, so that companies can integrate the management of communication costs into their business strategy, and even download and submit standard payment report files directly to Qtel.
Corporate and SME clients who deploy the solution will see immediate benefits in terms of reducing the man hours necessary to sort and submit bills from different offices, and will also have clearer oversight across their operations.
Christopher Almeida, Country IT Manager, DHL Express, who attended the Doha session, said: “Thanks to Qtel’s commitment in delivering BillXpress to us, we can now view our communications costs clearly and easily, making it easier to manage through a paperless environment that also helps us to support our Green initiatives in Qatar."
For Qtel, the development of BillXpress solution is an important step in helping to promote a greener, cleaner environment:
“As a leading Qatari company, we are very aware of our responsibility to promote environmentally-positive programmes whenever possible. BillXpress reduces the use of paper and minimizes waste and transport costs in the delivery and payment of bills. This has important implications for the national environment,” added Dhami.
“Qatar was one of the world’s fastest-growing economies in 2008, and continues to thrive even in the difficult climate that we face today. By developing new solutions like BillXpress, Qtel is responding directly to the needs of our customers, and demonstrating our understanding of the role we can play in enhancing businesses in Qatar,” he concluded.
