Fight at the Top of VIVA Corporate League

The Bahrain Tigers achieved a top score of four out of four possible points in the sixth round of the VIVA Corporate Night Golf League at the Royal Golf Club to make them joint leaders overall alongside the Royalists, both teams now having 19 points apiece. 

 

The Grasshoppers also scored wins in both of their matches against the VIVA team, boosting them up from fifth to third place overall in the league with 14 points.

 

The Royalists shared two points apiece with Fore Golf while the Royal Hackers also shared the spoils with two points each against the Awal team. 

 

“With only one round left next week before Finals Night on Wednesday 2nd November, it’s still pretty close at the top,” commented John Wilson, the Royal Golf Club’s Golf Operations & Events Manager. “Only the four top-placed teams will get to take part in the grand final with prizes of return flights to London, tickets to a Manchester United home game and brand new BlackBerry 9900 mobiles up for grabs by the winning team. The bottom four teams will compete in a consolation scramble on the same night.”

 

The VIVA Corporate Night Golf League matches take place on Tuesday evenings on the Royal Golf Club’s Montgomerie championship course. Spectators are welcome to watch the action at finals night on Wednesday 2nd November.
