Batelco is golden sponsor of University of Bahrain Career Day

Mobilk - Batelco, as one of the major sponsors of education in the Kingdom, is delighted once again to sponsor the UoB (University of Bahrain) Career Day which will take place at the universitys Sakhir campus on March 5, 6 and 7. This is the 12th year that Batelco will participate in the event and the Companys 8th year as the events main sponsor.

 

Batelco General Manager Human Resources Bahrain Suhaila Alnowakhda presented the sponsorship cheque to UoB Vice President for Community Service & Alumni Affairs Prof. Dr. Ali Mansour Al Shehab, at a presentation held at Batelco Hamala Headquarters recently. 

 

Batelco CE Bahrain Rashid Abdulla and Batelcos Group General Manager HR Shaikh Ahmed Al Khalifa will attend the opening ceremony on 5th of March, accompanied by a group of Batelco executives. 

 

Batelcos Career day stand, which will be the biggest at the annual event, will be located in the centre of the Main Hall and it is expected that around 800 students will visit the stand every day to meet Batelco industry experts who can answer questions and give advice based on their years of experience in their respective fields. As an added bonus for students, Batelco will offer a special package designed with students in mind, during the 3-day event.

 

Batelco Bahrain General Manager HR Suhaila Alnowakhda said that Batelco is delighted once again to support Career Day which has been such an important part of the UoB calendar for years. 

 

"Career Day provides the perfect opportunity for university students to find out more about careers in the telecommunications industry as well as the wider job market," she said. 

 

"The event will provide a clear picture for all students about the career prospects available at Batelco, and what kind of qualifications Batelco looks for. Batelcos HR personnel will also be presenting details about creativity and work ethics," she added.

 

Prof. Dr. Ali Mansour Al Shehab thanked Batelco for its generousity and stressed that their continuous support for the universitys activities would benefit the work market in the Kingdom.

 

"The continued sponsorship of this event has created a unique relationship between the university and one of the major companies in the Kingdom of Bahrain, which will surely contribute to further boosting mutual co-operation," said Prof .Dr. Al Shehab.
