Ooredoo Highlights Information Security Awareness In Training Session For All Staff

Mobilk - Underlining the importance it places on Information Security, Ooredoo held a staff Information Security Awareness session on 24 and 25 January. Designed to establish a clear understanding of the Ooredoo Information Security Policy, the intensive training covered security requirements in both the working environment and in daily operations, as well as addressing the vital issue of customer information protection.  

Commenting on the training in this top priority area, Wolfgang Wemhoff, Ooredoo Chief Technology Officer said: “This intensive session highlights Ooredoo’s commitment to the very highest levels of Information Security and our belief that every single member of our Ooredoo family has a vital role to play in safeguarding both our assets and customer information. This was a message we relayed strongly throughout the two days while making sure that all of our teams are fully conversant with our Information Security policy and standards, and also aware of industry best practice and procedures.”

Mr Wemhoff added: “I was delighted with the extremely positive feedback I received on the session, but even more so on seeing the increased attention to Information Security, which was immediately implemented across all departments.”
