Mobilk - Cisco announced that it is participating in the Gulf Information Security Expo & Conference (GISEC 2015), which will be held at Dubai World Trade Centre from April 26-28, 2015.
With security becoming an increasingly bigger concern in the era of Internet of Everything (IoE), Cisco will use GISEC as a platform to highlight how physical and cybersecurity solutions need to work intelligently together to protect the networks, devices, applications and data that make up the IoE.
The company’s security expert, Philippe Roggeband, Business Development Manager of Cisco Security Architecture, will be delivering a keynote address entitled ‘What do we need to make IoT security a reality?’ on the morning of the 28th April 2015.
“To secure the networked connections among people, processes, data, and things, an end to end security approach needs to be as pervasive as the Internet of Everything itself. With every company becoming a technology company, every company is also becoming a security company in the way that it protects its business, its data and its people. Cisco has been securing organizations of all sizes for decades, and we understand the rapidly changing security landscape. Our customers need to maintain a secure end-to-end environment to protect critical infrastructure, data and intellectual property”, commented Roggeband.
“As our connected lives grow and become richer, the need for a new security model becomes even more critical. Today attacks have become even more sophisticated while security capabilities become more fragmented and difficult to manage. To achieve the immense business benefits afforded by the IoE, a highly robust and secure network infrastructure is required. At GISEC 2015, we plan to address these issues and place the spotlight on our security solutions for IoE. Additionally, we plan to demonstrate ways to proactively combat advanced persistent threats and highlight Cisco’s threat-centric approach to security, which focuses on protection before, during and after the threat,” Roggeband added.
Cisco also plans to unveil a host of new capabilities and services that give security professionals extensive intelligence and analysis on potential compromises and solutions to protect against, respond to and recover from attacks, at the regions only large-scale information security event.
Cisco security specialists and partners will be available at their stand SR-D25 to meet with customers and partners and share their global experiences and success stories with them.
