Mobilk - Lebara Mobile KSA, the virtual mobile operator in Saudi Arabia, has announced signing an agreement with Huawei, a leading global ICT solutions provider, to supply Lebara Mobile KSA with its own virtual platform in the Kingdom which will enable Lebara KSA to provide added-value services to customers around the region.
The new platform will empower Lebara Mobile KSA to become a Mobile Virtual Network Enabler (MVNE), enhancing its position in the telecom sector and being able to provide new additional services to other telecom operators in KSA and across the region. Lebara Mobile KSA—a Saudi company owned by an alliance of major Saudi investors and Lebara Group—currently operates as a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) by making use of other companys existing network infrastructure to provide added-value mobile services to the end user.
The latest agreement was signed during a press conference attended by Mr. Fadi Kawar, CEO of Lebara Mobile KSA, and Mr. Ramadan Ding, CEO of Huawei Saudi Arabia, alongside the executive teams from both companies.
H.R.H. Prince Abdulaziz bin Meshaal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Chairman of Lebara Mobile KSA, has stressed the importance of this step in enhancing the leadership and the company value , as well as highlighting the strategic value of the latest partnership with Huawei as Lebara Mobile KSA moves steadily towards achieving its growth strategy.
