Tawazun Rabdan Academy Extends Digital Learning Experience with Latest Technology Roll Out

Huawei appointed to deploy holistic ICT network infrastructure solution for Academy’s new state-of-the-art Learning Center

Mobilk - Rabdan Academy, the UAEs first educational institution for world-class vocational training services that cover the safety, security, defense and emergency preparedness sectors, has appointed Visionaire as its ICT solutions provider, to deploy a comprehensive ICT network at its new state-of-the-art Excellence Learning Center in Abu Dhabi mostly using Huawei Network products. 

In line with its commitment to offer state-of-the-art learning experiences for its students and create an environment that is conducive to modern learning, Rabdan Academy selected Visionaire to deploy a fully integrated AV and ICT infrastructure, using Huawei network systems. The solution allows both its staff and students to enjoy faster connectivity and a streamlined secure access to the Academy’s education tools.

Strengthening its commitment to developing the education sector in the UAE, Huawei has worked closely with Visionaire and Rabdan Academy to complete the implementation of its solutions at the institutions Learning Center in the UAE. Huawei is a strong advocate of helping educators empower youth by equipping them with the right knowledge and tools to help them grow professionally.

Huawei has already modernized learning and development through several education solutions rolled out in the Middle East, such as the deployment of its Cloud Virtual Desktop (VDI) solution in 35 training colleges at Technical Vocation and Training Corporation (TVTC) in Saudi Arabia. The solution has since been able to help the educational institute create seamless integration between college applications and help reduce IT maintenance costs by reducing the level of power consumption by 80% and less need for hardware investment.

Rabdan Academy is a strategic initiative of Tawazun, a UAE based Investment Company focused on specialized manufacturing in the defense sector. In 2013, Huawei had created a secure network environment to support Tawazun’s growth. This included the deployment of a smart campus networking solution based on IPv6 in its integrated manufacturing zone at Tawazun Industrial Park (TIP), to create a backbone infrastructure that enables seamless wired and wireless connectivity, a highly secured network and higher bandwidth to centrally manage and monitor its physical security. The project was the first IPv6 network solution to be deployed in the Middle East for the industrial, manufacturing and defense sectors.
