Mobilk - Continuing to support the educational development of the next generation, Ooredoo has added new subjects to its pioneering Digital Tutorial App in preparation for the 2020/2021 academic year. The new content covers the kindergarten grades and includes the alphabet and formation of words and sentences, as well as exercises to support children’s skills in preparation for them to join formal public education, which begins at Grade 1. Since its launch in 2018, the Digital Tutorial App has logged more than a hundred million views, with almost 800,000 downloads, complementing the educational journey of young people all over the Sultanate and GCC.
Feras bin Abdullah Al Shaikh, Director of Branding and Communications at Ooredoo, said, “As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility programme, we are investing in Omanis of all ages and supporting educational inclusion. Easily accessible, free, and high-quality, our digital tutorials are enjoyed by an ever-increasing number of users. Our latest classes are an added bonus for parents, students and teachers, helping them prepare the under 5’s for their journey through education and starting them off on the right foot. In the coming months we will be adding even more content and new summaries for all grades.”
As the first comprehensive education app within the Sultanate, the Oman Digital Tutorial App is sponsored by Ooredoo and launched in collaboration with Muhammed & Ann Trading. As part of the telecom company’s CSR platform, Goodwill, the app is free of charge and includes a long list of diverse digital courses including web design, HTML, programming, English and IELTS exams, literacy curriculums, as well as grade level specific topics for those in grades 1-12. It also offers courses on cloud computing, information security, Java for advanced levels and IC3 global certification. Moreover, users can learn more about the fourth industrial revolution and take self-development classes that are developed for trainers, teachers, and psychologists within Oman and across the Middle East. Users can download the app from the Apple store or Google Play by searching for Oman Digital Tutorial.
