Apple is considering a new line of less-expensive iPhones to accelerate sales of its smartphones amid growing competition, the Wall Street Journal has reported, citing people familiar with the matter. The new handset would be about half the size of the iPhone 4, with an edge-to-edge touch screen, a virtual keyboard and voice-based navigation, the people said.
