Samsung Mobile has announced the launch of the Samsung Tocco Lite, the latest addition to the Tocco family.
The phone uses online widgets to ensure users can keep their Facebook status updated, log on to their MySpace page or browse YouTube for videos from a one touch interface on the main menu screen. Users can tag photos of their contacts on the device, as well as uploading their favourite shots to their own social networking sites.
Other features include a 3.2-megapixel camera with smile and face detection, 3-inch touchscreen, music recognition, FM radio and Samsung DNSe 2.0 (Digital Natural Sound Engine), which Samsung said ensures natural, high quality sound.
Samsung Mobile UK and Ireland vice president Mark Mitchinson said: "The incredible success of the Samsung Tocco handset last year has paved the way for this latest addition to the Tocco family. With its vivid and responsive full touchscreen, the Tocco Lite will appeal to consumers who want to access their social media sites in a simple and colourful way."
The Samsung Tocco Lite, which will be supported by a £1.5 million marketing campaign, will launch in UK stores in mid May.
