Batelco has announced that its 123Call calling cards can now be bought directly from Postpaid customers’ mobile phones via SMS. This unmatched offer means that Batelco’s Postpaid mobile subscribers can now avail of international dialling at very low rates.
To buy the 123Call calling cards from a postpaid mobile, simply send the message ‘123BD3’ to 4554. An automatic reply will confirm that the postpaid account has been charged BD3, which will appear on the next month’s bill. The reply message will also include your exclusive pin code and further useful information to use the service.
Besides the BD3 virtual voucher, customers can also buy vouchers for 900 fils or BD5 by adjusting the SMS message accordingly – to buy 900 fils credit, text the message 123BD.900 to 4554. A further benefit of the service is that the postpaid customer can provide the pin code details to family members or friends to allow them to make discounted calls from any phone.
“This is the latest new media channel for Batelco’s customers and delivers great value for money for international dialling,” said Batelco Group General Manager Media & Government Relations Ahmed Al Janahi.
“Furthermore, the new service provides not only convenience by eliminating the need to buy actual calling cards and scratching to reveal the code number, but also ensures a quality voice service using Batelco’s VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol),” he added.
Batelco’s 123Call service is charged per second and there is one rate throughout the day (no peak/off peak). Prices are very attractive with the rate to India being 15 fils per minute, Bangladesh 22 fils, Indonesia 38 fils, UK 55 fils, Egypt 45 fils, Philippines 55 fils and many more competitive rates. Such rates give 200 minutes of calling time to India, 136 minutes to Bangladesh, 79 minutes to Indonesia, 54 minutes to UK, 66 minutes to Egypt and 54 minutes to Philippines for only BD3, representing excellent value for money. The full list of rates for the 123Call service is available here.
