Batelco, as part of its ongoing training & development programme, is delighted to announce that 10 of their employees have graduated with a HND in Telecommunications Engineering from the Shaikh Khalifa Bin Salman Institute of Technology.
The 10 Bahrainis have successfully completed the set requirements with study and exams over the past 2 years, while also working full time in Batelco’s Networks Division.
Batelco Chief Technical Officer Ebrahim Zainal, who was in attendance at the graduation ceremony which took place at Batelco’s Knowledge Hub at Hamala HQ, presented the certificates to the students in the presence of Batelco General Manager HR Suhaila Alnowakhda and Director of Technical & Vocational Education at Ministry of Education Hasan Saleh
“This is only the beginning! You now have to start thinking of doing your BSc to become engineers,” said Mr. Zainal
“Your managers, as they have always done in the past, will give you full support to help you achieve this goal,” added Mr. Zainal
Batelco Bahrain HR General Manager Suhaila Al Nowakhda praised the graduates’ efforts and congratulated them on their success. She also pledged the Company’s support to provide all the relevant training and development opportunities to help them achieve their aspirations at work and on a personal level.
“Batelco management is committed to offering staff the latest training and development programmes to ensure they are on par with the most advanced technologies in the industry,” said Mrs. Al Nowakhda
Mr. Saleh thanked Batelco management for inviting him to the graduation ceremony and hoped co-operation between Batelco and Shaikh Khalifa Bin Salman Institute of Technology will continue in the future.
“When we decided to conduct the HND, we approached Batelco training officials requesting their assistance to determine the specific requirements of the programme. Batelco has thankfully provided us with the needed consultation and we presented the requirements to the Scottish Qualification Authority, who designed the programme accordingly,” he concluded
The ceremony was also attended by managers of the celebrated employees and members of Batelco Hub’s management.
