** Cruise Liner Travellers Stay Connected with International Voice & Data Roaming **
Batelco, Bahrain’s leading telecommunications provider, has reaffirmed its pledge to offer customers increased connectivity abroad with “GSM on Ship”, the newest addition to the Company’s many international roaming service agreements. Through an agreement with Telecom Italia, the new roaming service provides vacationers travelling on cruise lines, complete voice and data coverage.
Travellers on board the Costa Cruise ship fleet, the Ibero Cruise ships Grand Mistral, Grand Voyager and Grand Celebration, and the Grandi Navi Veloci (GNV) cruise line ships - Majestic and Splendid, will enjoy full coverage wherever their ship goes, regardless of route or geographical location.
“Batelco has worked diligently to sign international roaming agreements that ensure that its customers avail of greater connectivity wherever they travel,” said Batelco General Manager Media & Government Relations Ahmed Al-Janahi.

Following the introduction of the new “GSM on Ship” service, Batelco’s total number of commercial agreements with operators around the world for roaming services has increased to 533 agreements. This follows on from Batelco’s recently signed agreement with Roaming Hub service provider Link2One, giving it access to a diverse framework of multilateral roaming agreements for data, prepaid, voice and 3G services.
