du participates in Careers UAE for 4th year

Type your content here...Dubai, UAE, 28 March 2010: du MASAR programme students welcomed UAE national job seekers at the du stand during the company’s participation in the  Careers UAE 2010 in Dubai International Exhibition Centre. MASAR trainees helped students and graduates - under the supervision of human resources experts from the company - by sharing first-hand information on how to successfully enroll in the MASAR programme and how the course helps people build a career in telecommunications.

 

du’s participation in the Careers UAE – now for the fourth year running - comes as part of its ongoing Emiratisation efforts to increase the amount of UAE national employees, thereby adding value to the workforce and contributing to the growth of the company.

 

du invites all job seekers to visit its stand (number Z-E4) in Zabeel Hall to explore more than 100 available career opportunities, for qualified UAE national fresh graduates, to work within different departments at du. The company also invites them to submit their CVs on the du career website, careers.du.ae, by viewing all the available positions and applying for the job that is best suited to their skills and experience. Jobs include positions within customer care, engineering, network, business administration and sales, among others.

 

Fahad Al Hassawi, Chief Human Resources and Corporate Services Officer, du, said:”The tremendous success which du has achieved in this short period of time, which is reflected by the profit we have generated and the growth in our customer base, motivates us even more to continue with our Emiratisation efforts. This year, the du stand includes an innovative new service that aims to give job seekers first-hand experience about appearing for job interviews and also consider the same as applications for positions within du. Candidates will be recorded for general job interview practice, and these can then be submitted as applications for du’s trainee programme, MASAR. A jury from National Recruitment and  Development department and HR will then review the submissions in order to choose the best candidates to join the MASAR programme.

 

du also provides a service called “personality test”, during which visitors can learn more about their personalities by answering questions on a dedicated computer which then analyses the strengths and weaknesses in their characteristics in a scientific manner.
