Qtel Fuels School Children’s Senses

As part of its ongoing social outreach programme, a Qtel delegation have visited Ibn Sina School in Duhail and Saud Bin Abdul Rahman School in Rayaan to organise a range of  activities to give both students from both schools a unique experience.

 

The aim of the visits was to show appreciation for the exceptional work of teachers and students at the schools, through a special series of contests and prizes, as one of Qtel’s ongoing initiatives to engage with the community.    

 

During the visits to both schools, the day started with a Qur’an recital followed by the national anthem, which was performed by a local boy scouts group. Both schools’ administrations welcomed the visit by the Qtel delegation, expressing the happiness of the children with such a full-of-activities day to fuel their senses and their education experiences.

 

Hamad Al Marzooki, Assistant Manager, Community Relations, Qtel, thanked Ibn Sina School and Saud Bin Abdul Rahman School for their cooperation in making the event possible, and also highlighted the great efforts exerted by the Qtel Internet City team who prepared for the activities for these visits.

 

He said: “These activities are part of Qtel’s commitment to enrich the lives of people in the community and maximize the value of children’s educational experience; this is part of a series of initiatives that we promise we move ahead with in the future, organizing similar events all over the community.”

 

The day was designed for 1st to 3rd year primary school students, with a range of games and educational activities. A number of exceptional students also received prizes for their academic achievements. 

 

Qtel concluded the day by paying tribute to Ibn Sina’s school administration for its ongoing work.

 

Qtel is hosting a series of events at schools, colleges and public locations all across Qatar as part of its “Fuel Your Senses” campaign, which comes with a refreshed new look for Qtel, built around a shared sense of pride and purpose.

 

“Fuel Your Senses” events will continue throughout 2010.
