Qtel unveiled a new “first” for Qatar today, with the opening of the first Drive-Through Self Service Machine for Qtel customers.
Conveniently located in front of the Qtel Shop on Salwa Road, Qtel’s new drive-through Self Service Machine enables people to upgrade their phone services and manage their bills without ever leaving their cars. Waleed Al Sayed, Executive Director, Customer Services, Qtel, opened the new machine. The opening ceremony was attended by a delegation of Qtel Customer Services Management.
The Self Service Machine is programmed to handle bill payments, provide eVouchers and offer checks on account balances. Customers can easily drive up to the machine and manage their transactions in a matter of minutes.
Waleed Al Sayed, Executive Director, Customer Service, Qtel, explains: “Qtel continues to innovate and expand the ways we can serve our customers. To complement the new generation of Qtel Shops across Qatar, today we are launching the first of the Drive-Through Self Service machines, which enable customers to pay bills and order services from the comfort of their car. We are making fuelling your senses as easy as it is to fuel your automobile.”
The Drive Through format has been designed to make it easy to pull in and pay for services, and is highly secure and reliable for customers.
Research has shown that, in the hot summer months, a Drive-Through facility will be especially useful for customers who don’t wish to walk in the heat. This is particularly true for older people and families with children.
To serve the whole community, Qtel has over 120 self-service machines across the country, and continues to expand its network. As well as paying bills and accessing accounts, customers can purchase and print HALA Pay as you Talk, Ebhar, QCard and Dawli vouchers. Qtel’s self service machines provide Arabic and English language support.
Qtel has also signed a major agreement with Qatar National Bank (QNB) to make a wide range of Qtel services available through QNB’s network on 155 ATMs. Together, Qtel offers unmatched coverage in terms of customer service and support in Qatar.
“We believe in providing the widest choice to customers, supported by the strongest value. Our customers’ time is important, so we continue to look for ways to make dealing with Qtel an easy and enjoyable experience. The Drive-Through Self Service machine is the first of a number of planned innovations for 2010 which we believe will delight all our customers,” concluded Waleed Al Sayed.
