MTC touch introduces new and exclusive series of mobile numbers starting with the code 71

mtc touch, the leading telecom operator in Lebanon and ZAIN affiliate, announced the introduction of a new and exclusive series of mobile numbers starting with the code 71. The announcement came in parallel to the Ministry of Telecommunications’  and the Telecommunication Regulatory authority decision enabling mtc touch with more mobile lines, starting with the code 71 for both “magic” prepaid and “touch” postpaid lines, to be available at all mtc touch service centers and points of sale.

“With the persistent and rising demand on mtc touch lines, driving us to the forefront of the mobile telecom scene with 58% in market share, we ran out of mobile numbers in the 03 and the 70 codes, which led us to expand our network and introduce the new 71 code for our new mobile lines” explained Nadim Khater, Chief Commercial Officer at mtc touch.

With the three series on the market, a local caller will need to dial the new 71 code followed by the mobile number as follows: 71 xxx xxx, while international callers will need to dial the country code 961 followed by 71 and the mobile number as follows: 00961 71 xxx xxx.
