Syriatel launches free of charge Syriatel Directory service

Syriatel announced the launching of the free of charge “Syriatel Directory” service which enables subscribers to accede to phone numbers and addresses in different parts of Syria via their mobile phones.

This service, the first of its kind to be launched on the Syrian market, is a continuation of a series of useful services offered by Syriatel to meet the demands of its subscribers offering them various facilities; and this is obtained by the use of the most modern systems in the field of information technology.
 
The free of charge Syriatel Directory service is a special program working on the mobile phone by resorting to Internet service via GPRS and which enables subscribers to search any region in Syria and obtain phone numbers and addresses as well as working hours and other information relative to the party subject of the search.

This service enables subscribers to obtain easily addresses in any region in Syria by downloading the program relative to this service; the download is done by sending an empty message to the number 1010 and downloading the program relative to this service following reception of a message indicating the special link (http:// www.syriatel.com.syrdir/syrdir.jar ); then the subscriber click on the icon of the handset mobile phone program.
 
Syriatel Directory contains categorized lists of more than 15.000 addresses continuously updated The directory also includes addresses of cafes and restaurants, hotels, hospitals, pharmacies, and many other places including addresses of Syriatel different service centers.
 
One can search any place by printing the name of the party subject of the search, or by displaying the places according to the regions and contact them directly. This service is available in the Arabic language to make easy the search operation.
 
It should be mentioned that Syriatel Directory service aims at keeping its subscribers in permanent contact wherever they are; by undertaking such a step Syriatel would have been, as usual, not only a pioneer and forerunner in the Mobile communication field in Syria, but also the company that is the closest to its subscribers as it offers them services that meet their needs and demands.
