Syriatel launches the third generation service (3.5)

Following its trial period and after having undertaken the necessary preparations, Syriatel proudly announces the official launching of the third generation service (3.5) on August 21 2008

The launching of such a project is considered to be Syriatel’s utmost priorities as the company aims at ensuring Broad band wireless internet service, giving thus the opportunity to its subscribers to use the Internet at high speed. It hence responds to the demands of the Syrian society by implementing the most recent techniques in the field of Information Technology.
 
Answering the question concerning the reason for launching such a service, the head of the marketing department in Syriatel said that the company has finished all the necessary preparation to launch officially the service starting from the coverage, to the bill system and ending with the various subscription options granted to subscribers with studied prices that meets their needs and satisfy the various fringes of internet users, whether prepaid or postpaid, whatever the volume of data correspondence .

He added that Syriatel has elaborated a timetable to terminate the coverage operation relative to the service so that it would include all Syrian provinces. This timetable was done in coordination with the responsible parties and simultaneously with the emptying of all existent bands in such provinces. He also said that during the trial period, the coverage of the provinces of Damascus, Aleppo, Lattakieh and Tadmour went successfully.
 
Wireless internet service is considered to be a revolution in the world of communication and Syriatel is improving its performance so that Syria becomes among the first countries to apply the most recent improvements in the Information technology field. He added that the third generation service (3.5) received a positive feedback from subscribers during the trial period of November 2007 as it attracted a great number of them who all benefited from the volume of the free of charge mails during the preparatory period
 
Syriatel is always keen to guarantee the best service to its subscribers exceeding their expectations. Furthermore, when the project kicks off, the company will supply special modems that the subscribers could buy according to their wishes in order to facilitate the third generation service (3.5) operation.
