Nawras gives International Call Offer Starting In Ramadan

As the holy month of Ramadan progresses, pleasingly different communications provider Nawras continues to offer a host of surprises for its customers. Nawras has now launched a special international call promotion with vastly reduced call rates available from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. everyday, starting 23 August 2009 and lasting until 23 October 2009. This offer will provide customers who are far away from family and friends a great opportunity to share their many experiences and thoughts this Ramadan and beyond.

In order to allow customers to get closer, Nawras has introduced cheaper call rates for seven of the most popular international destinations: India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and also Tanzania, where many Omanis still have close family. To give an example of the incredible reduction in prices, customers calling India will pay only 99 Bz per minute for calls during the promotion, which means they will get a lot more talk time for their money.

The offer will be during the hours 10pm to 6am each day and will give customers calling these destinations fantastic savings and great value. The new rates are as follows: calls to India will cost 0.099 Bz per minute, calls to Pakistan, Bangladesh, Philippines, Sri Lanka and Tanzania will cost 0.149 Bz per minute, and calls to Indonesia will cost 0.179 Bz per minute.

Nawras customers will receive the new rates automatically without the need to subscribe to the offer and rates will be available from the first minute. Mobile users of other providers in Oman can easily move to Nawras, while keeping their existing mobile number, and start enjoying the company’s great value, pleasingly different service and excellent quality today. The simple mobile number portability process is free of charge.

Nawras has recently introduced another innovative offer during the month of Ramadan. Customers have been given the chance to call a Nawras number they choose all day from 5 a.m. until 5 p.m. for a one-off daily fee of only RO 2. Once the RO 2 fee is paid for the day all calls to the selected Nawras number will be free until 5pm. Customers can simply send an SMS with the key word RMO to 1500 to get all the details.
