  • Nawras sheds light on technology as the great human growth catalyst, at Comex 2014

Mobilk - Nawras, official Telecommunications Partner of Comex 2014, participated in the opening event with a keynote speech delivered by its CEO, Greg Young on Tuesday.

In his speech, Young discussed how technology and the digital revolution is shaping the world we live in. Calling technology a “human growth accelerator”, he stressed how digital services are influencing the global economy and can play a major role in driving forward economic development. Nawras, as a telecommunications service provider, is in the perfect position to play a key role in the economic diversification of Oman by ensuring that their proposition is founded on the most modern technology available and the most up to date international business standards.

Among their wide range of services and packages, the Nawras stand at Comex is showcasing the latest smartphone technologies along with a brand new selection of value added digital services that are drawing in the crowds. These include the Mobile Academy, the Shabik self-care tool and the much requested Book your Number Online service. The new ‘Mobile Money’ service from Ooredoo will also be showcased, giving a glimpse of the possibilities of a new mobile way of doing business. Launched in Qatar in 2011, the service allows users to perform a set of financial services safely and securely using any mobile device.

The Nawras Smartphone Festival is also running throughout Comex, bringing the latest range of smartphones directly to the public with a variety of special pre-paid and Shahry post-paid offers and packages. In addition to this Nawras is also making their comprehensive suite of business packages available including Maktabi Mobile and Shahry Business. The Nawras stand is open daily from 10am to 1pm and 4:30pm to 10pm and is manned by Nawras customer service champions to provide advice and assistance on their entire range of offers and services.

Comex is the Middle East region’s premiere information and communications technology exhibition drawing thousands of visitors each year. This year’s exhibition is running from 7 to 11 April at the Oman International Exhibition Centre and is expected to bring in an even greater number of visitors than ever before.
