As part of Qtel’s ongoing community engagement program, a delegation of employee volunteers visited Rumailah Hospital in Doha to bring Ramadan Greetings to the patients.
Rumailah Hospital, which is Qatar’s oldest health facility, is also one of the most advanced rehabilitation centers for adults and children in the region. As part of the visit, the volunteers spent time with some of the young patients in The Children's Rehabilitation Unit, as well as people in the Geriatric and Physical Rehabilitation Units.
Volunteers brought gifts as part of the visit, and many took the opportunity to play with the children, talk to the older patients, and share Ramadan wishes with patients and staff.
The volunteers came from a wide range of business units within Qtel, and the delegation was led by Adel Al Mutawa, Executive Director of Group Communications, Qtel.
“Qtel is engaged in a variety of community programs during the Holy Month of Ramadan and beyond, and the visit initiative is particularly important because it enables employees to donate their time to a worthy cause,” said Al Mutawa.
“Many of the patients are very pleased to receive visitors and it affords us an opportunity to thank the staff at Rumailah Hospital for the excellent work they do,” he added.
Qtel’s hospital visit program will continue throughout the Holy Month, with volunteers calling in on a number of medical and community organizations across Qatar.
