TRA holds workshop on competition law and new trends in telecoms sector

Mobilk - The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, in cooperation with Charles Russell Bahrain, held a workshop yesterday on the 2nd of December 2013 on the subject of “competition law and new trends in the telecommunications sector.” The workshop is part of the TRA’s continued dedication to knowledge sharing, training and development of their employees.

Manager of Legal Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Alabsi has stated that “The telecommunications sector is constantly changing, not just in terms of technology and services, but in laws and regulations. As this is the case, the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority has a duty to remain adaptive to these changes. Through workshops such as these, we are able to establish lines of communication and knowledge sharing with colleagues in other departments on telecom sector trends from a legal perspective.”
