Du plants ghaf tree in honour of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashids Union Tree initiative

Mobilk - In support of the Union Tree initiative launched by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Du held a tree planting ceremony in front of its flagship store and head offices in Al Salam Tower, Dubai Media City.

The ghaf tree was planted by Osman Sultan, CEO, Du, along with senior members of dus Executive Management team. Following the tree planting ceremony, the team celebrated with the cutting of a cake, which carried the telcos theme image of the du Social Media Awards, a National Day initiative created by Du, in the presence of its employees and customers.

"Following the example set by HH Sheikh Mohammed and in celebration of the values embodied by the 41st National Day, we are proud to plant this ghaf tree as a symbol of our devotion to the UAE and its leaders. In line with the desires of HH Sheikh Mohammed, our Union Tree will represent the unity of the nation, the hard work and determination that has built the UAE, and the many achievements that have been accomplished by its citizens," said Sultan.

As a further demonstration of national pride, all of Dus Shops have been decorated in the colours of the UAE flag.
